Senior Design Week 2: Mark Figueroa

This week I mainly focused on assembling the main frame of the rover. With the last major structural components printed and fitted, the rover frame is ready to attach and test the rocker bogie suspension system.

Since decided not to purchase a bearing rod due to cost inflations and time constraints. Since the rover will need to be moved between labs and testing environments, I developed a set of custom quick-release pins and joints that allow the rover's rocker bogie system to be quickly assembled or disassembled without compromising structural stability. The design is completely 3D printed in PETG and require no other hardware.

In addition to the hands-on work this week, I also focused on drafting Chapter 1 – Introduction of the final design report. Using previous research and earlier documentation as a foundation, I began formatting the new report to align with the updated design rubric.
